Sitting here today on what is the very last day of my 30s, and after a few weeks of deep reflection, I pulled out the pen and captured 30 things I’ve experienced in my 30s that I could never have imagined experiencing.

- Starred in a movie
- Did a research project in Cambodia for the Red Cross
- Modelled in fashion parades
- Volunteered in the Solomon Islands
- Became an Ambassador and mentor for Layne Beachley Foundation
- Was an ambassador for Holden
- Featured in TV campaigns for SBS
- Shared stage with Anh Do
- Got divorced
- Shared stage with Julia Gillard

- Had front page stories of newspapers
- Been astonished by the people who I have looked up to who I now see as mentors and friends
- Interviewed on ABC radio 3 times
- Won state titles and competed in 2 national championships in athletics after 22 years of avoiding sport
- Worked with dream clients
- Moved back to parents’ house
- Discovered my purpose
So many things I’ve probably missed, these are the things that flowed in this moment.
My heart is exploding with gratitude at the incredible experiences I’ve had that have led to me becoming the woman I am today.
The woman I never imagined I could have been.
The woman others saw I had the potential to be long before I ever believed it myself.
This is just the beginning though.
I know I’m playing at a fraction of my potential.
I feel a deep moral responsibility to serve through the work I do and the example I set.
My commitment and desire as I move into the next decade in this amazing world is to do more, give more, see more and receive more.
I would love your help to do this and to keep me accountable.
Asking for and receiving help has been one of my greatest challenges to date, that changes now.
